For Example, You live in a 3 Room House. You are using PTCL Internet in your home but you are unable to get access to Internet signals in all your room due to distance.

To get easy access of your PTCL internet signals in all your rooms you need a wiFi extender. Instead of buying a new WiFi Extender Now you can used your Zong Bolt Mbb Device as a WiFi Extender.

How can I use Zong as wifi extender?

You will need to connect and configure Zong Bolt mbb Device with your PTCL Internet to use it as a WiFi Extender/Repeater. A step by step tutorial is given below to use your ZONG BOLT device as a WiFi Extender / Repeater.

Step by Step Tutorial to use ZONG BOLT device as a WiFi Extender

• First of All Remove the Sim from your Device. You can use it with Sim but we recommend removing the sim before converting your zong mbb bolt device as WiFi Extender.

• Then Note the IP Address , Admin ID and Admin Password by removing the back cover of your device.

• When you will try to login the Zong MBB Device login page you will see a prompt like this as shown in the picture below. Don't Worry.

• Click on Go to Home Button and you will be redirected to Home Page.

If you are unable to Find your zong mbb device IP Address on the back side of your device for any reason. Then Follow the Steps below.

Step 1:

• Connect your device with your computer. Go to Network icon on your desktop Right Click and Click on Select Properties.

Step 2:

• Now on the next page Click on the Network Name as shown in the figure below.

Step 3:

• On the Next Page Click On Details Button

Step 4:

• In Network Connect Details You will see your Zong MBB device IP Address as shown in the figure below i.e., 192.168.8.1.

Step 5:

• Now open Google Chrome and enter http://192.168.8.1
• Click on Login and you will be asked to enter User name and Password.
• By Default the user name and password for your zong device is set as admin, admin. It is written on the back side of your mbb device.
• Click on Login button.

Step 6:

Now we will Configure Zong BOLT MBB Device to use as Wifi Extender.

• After Successful login Click on Settings.

Step 7:

• Now Click On WiFi Extender Button on the left side of page.

Step 8:

• Now on the left side of the page you will see list of available WiFi connections.
• Select your Home Internet Name.

Step 9:

Now you will see a prompt with your Home Internet Name and Password. Fill your password and Click on Connect Button.

Step 10:

• After Clicking on Connect button now as you can see in the screenshot below. 
• Your Zong Bolt MBB Device has been connected to your Home Internet Connection and Ready to be used as a WiFi Extender.
